Conexo hints
A Conexo hint outlines words from the easiest group still on the board. It does not print the category.
Two steps, then it stops
The first hint outlines 2 words from group 1 if that group is still open. If group 1 is already solved, it uses the next open group in number order. The second hint adds one more word from that same group, so three words are outlined. A further hint returns nothing.
Hints also stop after 3 groups are solved. One group would be left, and a hint would give away most of it. Each hint you take is marked with a bulb in the share grid and counted apart from guesses.
On the board, outlined words are the hint. You still have to find the fourth word and the category yourself. The hint today page writes those same words out for the current date.
What does a Conexo hint show?
A Conexo hint shows words, not the category name. The first use outlines 2 words from the lowest unsolved group. The second use outlines 3 words from that group. Those words are the start of the group list, in the order the puzzle stores them.
Can I take more than two Conexo hints?
No. A third request returns nothing. Hints also stop when 3 of the 4 groups are already solved, because one group is left and a hint would finish the board.
Do hints count in the Conexo share line?
Yes. Each hint adds a bulb mark in the share grid and increases the hint total. Guesses are the attempts that are not hints. A finished line can read 5 guesses and 1 hint.
